Dear Friends in the Search for Bianca/Daniela,

It is already past 2 AM as I write this, and I have two jobs and a ten hour workday awaiting me in the morning, as is the usual weekday situation for me these days. But over the past 36 hours, I have come to the realization that for the past two months, I have been taking lightly - and practically dismissing out of hand - the most startling lead to EVER come my way in the history of this search.

Although I have not been to the club (or clubs in general) since March of 2005 (and admittedly, not really by my own choice), I have kept up with the adult entertainment industry on the Internet and have remained on mailing lists. Among the lists I have remained on is a company based in Gary, Indiana called Direct Video and DVD. They specialize in compilations of adult video scenes along various themes. Although their catalog could be classified as one of the more raunchy and explicit in the industry, they have also included some very insightful, high minded articles detailing the theories and findings of evolutionary biologists regarding the development of human sexuality.

When I opened their January mailing, I was quickly drawn to a special feature they were offering entitled "16 hours of Imported Latina Footage." "No American stars! Just natural born Latinas!" they went on to explain. "All footage features all Latin men and women - Filmed entirely on location IN RIO DE JANEIRO! All first timer footage!"

I couldn't help but notice that the featured model in the ad bared a noticeable resemblance to Daniela. But her hair was longer and seemed to have a finer texture than what I remembered. The model also had a small tattoo on her lower right torso - the same exact spot where Daniela had the only marking on her body. But I even managed to dismiss this, thinking that maybe there had been a fad among certain Brazilian women for this and she had decided to mimic it. I remarked to myself that I should probably order this DVD set. But with money as tight as it alway is for me, and my lack of urgency, I kept putting it off. I wanted it, but there were other priorities.

Then, again last week, I received another catalog from Direct Video and DVD, again with the Latina footage special being offered. I looked at the ad and remarked to myself that it would be fun to own this considering my life history. But again, I rationalized that money is tight, and that I shouldn't expect anything more from it than casual pleasure. So I put it aside for a day or two. But finally on Sunday - the only day I have off and any chance to really explore or think about something - I kept returning to the ad and the model during my rest periods like a moth to a flame. Then it started to hit me, with greater and greater intensity until I couldn't escape. I thought about my own advice that I had written in one of these newsletters a long time ago. Yes, we live in a big world that we share with more than six billion other souls - a world more vast than any one of us can imagine. But if you want any chance of finding someone who you have lost, "go to where you know their interests are." Once you do that, a very vast world, sooner or later, becomes much smaller.

I was also reminded of a discovery I made several months ago about another girl I had patronized at the club after Daniela's disappearance. This other dancer had expressed reluctance to do nude modeling because of the possibility that certain family members may discover it. But one day I was cruising for pictures on an adult newsgroup, and I nearly fell off my chair, because there she was! Apparently she had a change of heart and someone posted the layout on a couple of newsgroups. She was even billed by the same name she used at the club - Destiny. It was unmistakably her.

Yes, the world becomes a much smaller place when you go where you know someone's interests are. Why I couldn't see that six or eight weeks ago concerning this Latina video feature (filmed in Rio de Janeiro no less!) is probably an interesting study in self analysis. Perhaps my problem was a combination of conditioning and cognitive dissonance. The conditioning came from two and a half years of constant futility and failure. The dissonance came from a growing belief system that such a search is truly impossible and it's now time to go on with my life. Why get your hopes up only to be let down again?

But that's not the way I am feeling right now, that's for sure. The following is a link to the ad and I want all of you to take a look at it. But I must warn in advance that this photo collage contains hardcore pornographic images. I know that is a problem for a few individuals on this list. But I ask them to bear with it and focus your attention on the feature model on the right side of the collage, whose image is only soft core semi-nude.

After you access the image, consider these points:

1) The features were shot in Rio de Janeiro, Daniela's home city. She would not have to sacrifice any travel time or expense. From my conversations with her, she had a noticeable interest in the adult entertainment world in general. When I began to talk about geographic gaps between gentlemen's clubs in New England, I knew the subject instantly connected with her. The week after she left the club, one of the bartenders shook his head and said to me, "I can't imagine Bianca not dancing for very long." Yes, video and video stars are a different area of the scene. But many of the female stars were dancers and continued dancing during their video career.

It is very likely that Daniela resumed dancing when she returned home and heard about this opportunity through her dance work.

2) The location of this video is compatible with the deepest instincts of the majority of this list who believe that Daniela returned to Rio permanently during the summer of 2004 at the request of her family.

3) The eyes of this model, although certainly from a Latina, also lean a bit toward the "Asian" side, like Daniela's do.

4) In 2004, Daniela's hair was "Dutch boy" length. If she decided to let it grow upon return home, it would probably reach below her breasts in enough time for this feature. During the weeks I knew her, Daniela showed a willingness to mildly experiment with her hair from time to time.

5) This model's breast size and shape are the same as Daniela's. And the tan lines are definitely hers. In fact, once in a conversation with Nadia, I joked that Daniela probably spent her entire childhood on a Rio beach.

6) The stomach and torso of this model is definitely Daniela's. I remember them very clearly.

7) Yes, "the smoking gun"... the small tattoo on her lower right torso, exactly where Daniela had hers.

8) Those hands, fingers, and ring. They are all a perfect match to her. Long, slender, beautiful, and sexy, but not extremely long or thin. I've just discovered the ring. It looks just like the one or two that she wore. Once she was explaining how she had broken her finger and, with our crazy medical system, she couldn't get the full treatment she needed. As a result, she was able to abnormally bend the finger backward. These fingers match my memory of that moment. And these are the hands that held mine so frequently during those few short weeks in 2004.

This morning, I believed that this model is my lost, beloved Daniela with about an 80 percent confidence. Right now, after looking at her fingers and ring in this large illustration, my belief has risen to a 90 percent confidence. Once I receive the video and view the scene, I will know for sure. But one thing is for sure right now - Daniela has grown even more beautiful than she was in 2004. Often when a woman goes from her early or mid twenties to her upper twenties, her beauty becomes more mature and well defined, and Daniela's beauty in this photo is so intense it nearly brings tears to my eyes. It is amplifying my already frenzied reaction to the awakening of the past couple of days. You can't imagine everything that has been pulsing through my heart, my mind, and my body. It's a good thing I have already told a coworker on one job and a boss on the other about this development, so they have been understanding when my attention span isn't all it should be.

Over the next couple of days, I will be trying to find a sympathetic ear in the management at Direct Video and DVD, and hopefully, set up a chain of communication with the production company in Rio, and ultimately to Daniela directly. Another encouraging aspect is that any adult video company or distributor operating in the U.S., by law, has to appoint a "Custodian of Records" to maintain information on every actor and actress in their features to prove they are all of legal age. It may be possible that Direct Video even has her contact information in their own files and they would be willing to act as a communications link to her.
